The History Channel’s The Bible

The Bible on the History Channel is in full swing. I have been reading some reactions and critiques on line. I have noticed that many people have been positive but there have been many cutting it down saying its inaccurate. I have a simple 5 point argument in favor of it.

1. They are putting the Bible on prime time

2. Twitter and Facebook have lit up over it.

3. People are talking about it outsidevof church.

4. It’s a better option than_________ (fill in the blank with almost anything else on ).

5. Did I mention they are putting the Bible on prime time.

The facts are not perfect I agree, remember they are trying to fit the whole bible into 10 episodes I believe. I realize it is no perfect but I’ll take the positives and run.

About Ben Kilen

I am a average guy father of 4. I don't claim any super powers or amazing talents. I do have a double jointed thumb and I have always hoped it would bring me wealth and fame but so far it hasn't. I am an eclectic music lover as long and by music current day main stream rap does not qualify as music. Anything that has one to two sentences hammered over and over with no melody or excessive auto tune does not qualify.

Preach it!!!! Glass-half-empty kind of people would complain. I haven’t heard one negative yet myself. Excited to watch it.

    Thanks for the re-post

I agree, it’s not perfect. And it leaves out soooo much! BUT, like you said..prime time..better than alternatives… We’ve also noticed that it is a great way for our family to discuss scripture because we are like, “Hey, they left out A, B, or C! They changed X, Y, or Z!” We are enjoying the series a lot. Anyway, thanks for the “follow” on my blog! I look forward to seeing what you speak about next! Have a great day.
