Who said faith?

1 Thessalonians 5:24
You are defined by the faith of God; you are His poetry.

I have always believed that I had to create faith and if I fell short it was because I couldn’t produce enough faith. He has not only freely given forgiveness, acceptence,  grace, strength,  etc unconditionally he is also the giver of faith.  He has given All the measure of faith! We all have the same faith provision.  Not for us to “if I just pray and believe more,  I know I can attain Godly faith.” If this were the case it would be something Christ wouldn’t need to supply.  If we could do it on our own the cross would have been unnecessary.

Believe in what he has given freely already.  Rest in his gift and his strength,  not yours.

About Ben Kilen

I am a average guy father of 4. I don't claim any super powers or amazing talents. I do have a double jointed thumb and I have always hoped it would bring me wealth and fame but so far it hasn't. I am an eclectic music lover as long and by music current day main stream rap does not qualify as music. Anything that has one to two sentences hammered over and over with no melody or excessive auto tune does not qualify.

“Not for us to “if I just pray and believe more, I know I can attain Godly faith.” If this were the case it would be something Christ wouldn’t need to supply. ” Amen. Great point. I like how the KJV renders Gal.2:20. We live by THE faith of the Son of God. It’s His faith. This is a better rendering. After all, if we’re dead and our life is Christ’s life, then it has to be His faith too. Good post!
